Kathy Evans-Palmisano, RN, CNM, MS, CP
Kathy is a suburban shaman, a modern day wise woman whose opinions on health and heart are sought out by people from all walks of life. A Registered Nurse (RN), Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM) and Certified Personal Trainer (CPT) with a Master of Science Degree, advanced Reiki certification, 25 years in experience in energy healing and 30 years in Woman’s Health, she has served as director three midwifery practices and two nationally accredited birth centers. Appointed by the governor to the Illinois Committee on Nursing, she has served on the boards of two health practices and worked as an expert witness for several prominent legal firms.
In 2001 Kathy retired from administrative and clinical practice to follow her broader path as a healer and founded Kathy’s Energy Program. Now known as Ki-Ri, her program provides group presentations and individual consultation including: energy therapies (Therapeutic Touch, Reiki, Quantum Touch), personal training, nutrition, stress reduction, transpersonal dynamics, team building, ceremony, and connecting to Spirit. This comprehensive program is aimed at maximizing an individual’s ability to attain total health, and groups’ abilities to maximize work performance, interpersonal dynamics and productivity. She believes that by leading us to and through transpersonal experience, will ultimately allow us to transcend intolerance and create a world where all life is respected and honored.
Personal pilgrimages have taken her to sacred sites in Sedona, Arizona and Glastonbury, England to study earth energies and work with dowsers, geomancers, and healers. A dance and bodybuilding enthusiast for 24 years, she has appeared on national television and was ranked second nationally in Master’s Women over 35 lightweight division. Past President of the Parent Guild of the River City Youth Chorale, founding member and past President of Business Network International’s Circle of Excellence Chapter, and Chapter Advisor for Family Career and Community Leaders of America Northern Allegheny Area chapter; her other interests include ballroom dancing, scuba diving, water and snow skiing, meditation, Tai Chi, volunteering with Animal Advocates…the list goes on and on.
As a wife of 23 years and mother of 14 and 16 year old daughters, she is no stranger to multi-tasking and balancing home, family and work. She not only talks the talk, but she walks the walk, bringing her own unique blend of energy, humor, and understanding to all that she does.
